Noella came from England for a gastric sleeve. In this short clip Op. Dr. Volkan Arayıcı stops at her bedside on the ward round and goes through what matters in the days after surgery – the same advice every sleeve patient hears before going home.

His first point is walking: short, regular walks on the ward, and carrying on once she is home. He tells her that in her case she does not need compression stockings – a decision made patient by patient, not a rule. Asked about her job, she says she works in an office and as a hairdresser; he tells her she can return to her normal life and her work.

Before she leaves, the team bring her medication, her protein shakes and the clinic’s “new life” guide book, and explain how to eat and how to exercise in the weeks ahead. The clip ends with the plan for her departure in the morning.

Filmed in 2025. Every patient stays four nights in hospital until discharge – no hotel – and is followed up for twelve months by video call and WhatsApp.
